Cooperation Council of Iranian Left and Communist Forces: Reactionary war consumes workers and civilians

Workers, laborers, and oppressed masses of Iran,

The war between the governments of the United States, Israel, and the Islamic Republic has entered its fifth week. During this time, beyond widespread killing and the destruction of the country’s infrastructure, airstrikes by U.S. and Israeli fighter bombers have hit many production centers, killing numerous workers.

These criminal operations continue. On Friday, March 27, 2026, U.S. and Israeli warplanes attacked several production and industrial sites with bombs and missiles, including Mobarakeh Steel, Isfahan Steel Company, Khuzestan Steel, and the Firoozabad Cement Factory.

Reports state that the attack on Mobarakeh Steel in Isfahan killed one person and injured 16 others. At Khuzestan Steel Company, 16 people suffered blast shock and minor injuries. The production line has shut down, leaving thousands of workers unemployed. An attack on the mine of the Firoozabad Cement Factory killed at least two people and injured two others.

At the same time, in these acts of violence, so-called “humanitarian bombs” from the United States and Israel struck an industrial unit in the Jay industrial zone of Isfahan, killing more than 15 workers.

Workers, laborers, and oppressed masses of Iran,

The war between the governments of the United States, Israel, and the Islamic Republic continues. This reactionary war has pushed people’s lives in Iran further into ruin and devastation. So far, missile strikes and aerial bombardments by the United States and Israel have killed thousands of children, workers, and defenseless people in Iran. These attacks have destroyed much of the country’s infrastructure, ruined production centers, struck hospitals with missiles, and collapsed many homes on people who have had no role in this destructive war.

This war is reactionary. It is not the war of workers, laborers, or the masses of Iran. It is a war among three enemies of the Iranian people: the ruling establishment of the United States, the government of Israel, and the regime of the Islamic Republic. This war has brought only ruin and devastation to the people of Iran. For workers and laboring people, it has yielded nothing but widespread unemployment, displacement, death, and large-scale destruction. As the war continues, death and devastation fall on the people each day. Therefore, the interests of workers and the broader masses of Iran lie not in continuing the war, but in its immediate end.

It is clear that in this war, it is not only the United States and Israel that kill the people of Iran with bombs and missiles. On the other side of this reactionary war stands the regime of the Islamic Republic. This murderous and criminal regime, under the pretext of confronting the “enemy,” has intensified repression in society, accelerated secret executions, denied political prisoners the most basic human rights, arrested teachers, and threatened protesting masses with death. In addition, through its own missile attacks on Israel and countries in the Persian Gulf, it has disrupted people’s lives, destroyed residential areas, and, as a result of such attacks, killed and injured hundreds.

Workers, laborers, and oppressed masses of Iran,

War always begins at a specific time, marked by a moment and a piece of news that suddenly spreads across the world. But for people who live under the rubble of war, war is neither a date nor a headline. War strikes when the sound of explosions shatters silence, breaks the psyche of society, and permanently alters everyday life. The internet shuts down. People lose contact with the outside world. Children spend their days under the terror of fighter jets and explosions. During wartime, the sound of warplanes fills every direction. Homes collapse, and the presence of repressive forces in streets and alleys grows. Society tightens, and streets fill with dust and blood. Among the victims stand people who simply crossed a street to earn a living, or workers who struggled to bring food to their families.

War, above all, imposes the most brutal form of injustice. Those who decide on it often sit in safe rooms, far from the battlefield, while ordinary people pay the price. Children, women, and working masses fall victim. They become cannon fodder for the aggressive and ambitious aims of the fascist government of the United States, the genocidal regime of Israel, and the reactionary regime that rules Iran.

Therefore, we declare loudly: this war is not our war. It is not the war of workers or the laboring masses of Iran. It is a war among the enemies of the Iranian people. Responsibility for this war lies with all sides involved and with all forces that cheer for it and dance on its ruins.

Let us raise the slogan: no to reactionary war, no to imperialism, no to Zionism, and no to the reactionary Islamic regime. Let us intensify our protests and struggles to bring about the revolutionary overthrow of the Islamic Republic by demanding the immediate end of the war.

Down with the capitalist system ruling Iran.
Long live freedom. Long live socialism.
